by Continental Club on August 31, 2017  |  Leave a comment • Tagged as: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

British AirwaysBritish Airways has now also loaded sale fares in its World Traveller (Economy) and World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy) cabins for travel to destinations worldwide on selected dates through to 2018. Periods of availability vary by destination, reflecting seasonal demand variations. Fares must be booked by 23:59 GMT on 26th September 2017. An official ‘Sale’ page will undoubtedly be published later to the airline’s website at ba.com, but for now the BA Low Fare Finder is the best way to check the new fares and availability.

Overall, Economy and Premium Economy fares are 4% higher than in the last sale. Sydney moves from £699 return to £733 in Economy, for example. Los Angeles adds £100 to its Premium Economy fare, while Vancouver sheds £70 compared to last time around. Mauritius remains favoured, with its notable sub £1000 Premium Economy fare reappearing this time.

All sale fares qualify for Avios and Tier Point credit in the British Airways Executive Club frequent flyer programme, as well as OnBusiness points for small and medium sized enterprises enrolled in that programme.

For a full list of longhaul destinations and lowest fares, including the corresponding fare in the last full sale (June 2017), click ‘READ MORE’ or scroll down.

Until the ba.com Sale page is live, the fastest way to check availability and to book may still be to visit the Low Fares Finder at ba.com.

British AirwaysBritish Airways has loaded sale fares in its World Traveller (Economy) and World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy) cabins for travel to destinations worldwide on selected dates through to early 2018. Periods of availability vary by destination, reflecting seasonal demand variations. Fares must be booked by 23:59 GMT on 11th July 2017. An official ‘Sale’ page will undoubtedly be published later to the airline’s website at ba.com, but for now the BA Low Fare Finder is the best way to check the new fares and availability.

Overall, Economy fares are 3% higher than in the last sale, and Premium Economy fares are on average exactly the same. Sydney at £699 return in Economy remains very attractive in the market, but the £640 returns in Premium Economy to both New York and Boston recorded in the last sale have been followed-up by £765 and £746 fares respectively. Meanwhile, some Middle Eastern, Indian Ocean and African routes in Premium have been favoured this time, it seems, with Mauritius showing from £994 this time, compared to £1419 in the last sale. In fact, this particular route also offers £150 change flexibility at the sale fare.

All sale fares qualify for Avios and Tier Point credit in the British Airways Executive Club frequent flyer programme, as well as OnBusiness points for small and medium sized enterprises enrolled in that programme.

The reservation system also shows sale fares being loaded in the airline’s Club World business and First Class cabins, and we have published a separate list of these here.

Overall, Economy fares are 3% lower than in the last sale, and Premium Economy fares are on average 9% lower. This is the first time that the newly-announced destinations of Fort Lauderdale, New Orleans, Oakland and Tehran have been offered at ‘sale’ fares; Sydney at £670 return in Economy is the lowest fare that we’ve ever tracked from BA for the route, and £640 return in Premium Economy to both New York and Boston is also as low as we have ever recorded.

All sale fares qualify for Avios and Tier Point credit in the British Airways Executive Club frequent flyer programme, as well as OnBusiness points for small and medium sized enterprises enrolled in that programme.

BA Black Friday: 787 Dreamliner to Abu Dhabi £191 & 13600 Avios Return

by Continental Club on November 25, 2016  |  Leave a comment • Tagged as: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

British AirwaysBritish Airways has added to its range of Black Friday promotions with a £301 special fare on its new direct Boeing 787 Dreamliner service to Abu Dhabi. The airline is also offering the opportunity to save an additional £110 by redeeming 13,600 Avios, bringing the fare down to £190.87 return:

british-airways-price-quote1

Members of the Executive Club will also earn Tier Points and Avios on the fare, meaning that a Gold Executive Club cardholder could make 8,520 Avios back, bringing their net outlay down to 5,080 Avios.

Bookings must be made by 23:59 on Monday 28th November 2016, for travel between 11th January & 20th March, between 21st April & 23rd May, and between 31st May & 10th June 2017.

For travellers wishing to upgrade to World Traveller Plus Premium Economy, a return fare of £716 is also available, which can be reduced to £495.87 by redeeming 32,000 Avios. The potential Avios earn-back is 13,636, leaving a net outlay of 18,364 Avios.

In all cases, the Avios discount does not rely on the availability of ‘pure’ Avios seats for redemption – potentially making this a particularly good and easy use of points.

To book this and the airline’s other Black Friday offers, visit ba.com/blackfriday.

British Airways Economy & Premium Economy Sale Fares Loaded 16th June 2016

by Continental Club on June 17, 2016  |  One comment • Tagged as: , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

British AirwaysBritish Airways has now also loaded its World Is On Sale fares for travel in its World Traveller (Economy) and World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy) cabins to destinations worldwide on selected dates through into 2017. As with the First Class and Club World sale fares must be booked by 23:59 GMT on 12th July 2016. An official ‘sale‘ page is published to the airline’s website, but the BA Low Fare Finder at ba.com is the best way to check the new fares and availability.

BA WT NEW

Fares are largely on a par with those offered in the last sale; World Traveller prices are 2% higher and World Traveller plus fares are 1% lower on average. This disguises slightly the fact that Economy fares to North American destinations are largely untouched by the Sale. Other destinations are mostly on-par with last time. By contrast, Premium Economy fares to US cities and the Middle East look to be even better value than last time around, with Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Doha & Dubai all from c£600 return.  One other notable fare is Sydney at £693 in Economy – even lower than the last sale fare which, as we noted at the time, was itself a very competitive fare for a non-Middle East connection.

All sale fares qualify for Avios and Tier Point credit in the British Airways Executive Club frequent flyer programme, as well as OnBusiness points for small and medium sized enterprises enrolled in that programme.

British Airways Economy & Premium Economy Sale Fares Loaded 21st April 2016

British AirwaysBritish Airways has loaded its World Is On Sale fares for travel in its World Traveller (Economy) and World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy) cabins to destinations worldwide on selected dates through into 2017. As with the First Class and Club World sale fares must be booked by 23:59 GMT on 17th May 2016. An official ‘sale‘ page is published to the airline’s website, but the BA Low Fare Finder at ba.com is the best way to check the new fares and availability.

Fares are largely on a par with those offered in the last sale; World Traveller prices are 3.5% lower and World Traveller plus fares are 0.6% higher on average. That means that there aren’t any really stand-out fares compared to last time, save to say that Premium Economy to high-volume destinations on the US East Coast and the Middle East look to be good value, and Sydney at £733 in Economy is a very competitive fare for a non-Middle East connection – if not quite as low as it has been in the recent past.

All sale fares qualify for Avios and Tier Point credit in the British Airways Executive Club frequent flyer programme, as well as OnBusiness points for small and medium sized enterprises enrolled in that programme.
