British Airways Black Friday Sale: Club World 2 for £2018

British AirwaysBritish Airways has revealed its Black Friday & Cyber Monday sale, offering pairs of Club World Business Class return tickets over the Christmas and New Year period to selected longhaul destinations for a combined total of £2018. Fares are available to book now at ba.com with a booking deadline of 23:59GMT on 26th November 2018. Travel dates vary by destination. All travel must be completed by 10th January 2019. There are blackout dates, but the fares are in fact available for two to nine passengers travelling together.

As usual, Continental Club readers are among the very first to know about the sale, although a specific promotional page for the sale can be found on the BA website.

The British Airways Low Fare Finder may be the easiest means of checking and booking the lowest fares.

Members of the British Airways Executive Club may be able to reduce all promotional fares by up to £280 per person by redeeming 55,000 Avios per traveller.

Even lower fares may be available when the departure airport is set to Jersey or Inverness owing to differing UK Air Passenger Duty treatments.

Business class (Club World) flights
1. This promotion is only open to Eligible Participants. An Eligible Participant is a person who is aged 18 years or over. BA reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Eligible Participants. By taking part in this promotion, Eligible Participants confirm that they accept the terms and conditions set out below.

2. Limited availability of flights at sale prices. All promotional fares quoted are from the departure airports stated in the booking and are based on the lowest available Club World (Business Class) return price available on ba.com at this time. When viewing fares from departure point ‘London (All)’, the lowest available fare for any one of all the included London Airports will be shown.

3. Advertised offer prices discounted from lowest price available in the 50 days before 22 November 2018.

4. Prices include all taxes, fees and carrier charges, correct as of 15 November 2018. The offer is based on 2 adults booking and travelling together on the same booking reference.

5. All prices valid from London Heathrow and London Gatwick Airports.

6. Flights must be booked between 00:01 GMT 22 November 2018 and 23:59 GMT 26 November 2018.

7. This promotion applies to return travel in Club World cabin, booked during the booking period for selected travel routes and selected travel periods apply:

a. London Heathrow to Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Miami, Montreal, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Jose (California), Toronto and Washington is available for selected outbound travel dates between 24 December 2018 and 31 December 2018.

b. London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Shanghai and Seoul is available for selected outbound travel dates between 30 November 2018 and 31 March 2019.

c. London Gatwick to Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, New York, Orlando and Tampa is available for selected outbound travel dates between 11 December 2018 and 10 January 2019.

d. London Gatwick to Kingston is available for selected outbound travel dates between 12 December 2018 and 26 December 2018.

8. Minimum stay period apply on selected routes:

a. The following routes require a 3 night minimum stay: London Heathrow to Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Miami, Montreal, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Jose (California), Toronto, Washington, Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Shanghai and Seoul.

b. The following routes require a 3 night minimum stay: London Gatwick to Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, New York, Orlando and Tampa.

9. For all travel on the following routes an advance purchase of 14 days is required:

a. London Heathrow to Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Miami, Montreal, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Jose (California), Toronto, Washington, Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Shanghai and Seoul.

b. London Gatwick to London Gatwick to Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, New York, Orlando and Tampa.

10. Maximum stay periods may apply on selected routes:

a. For travel in Club World from London Heathrow and London Gatwick to all destinations, the maximum length of stay is 355 days from the date of outbound travel.

11. Individual travel dates are subject to availability. Promotional travel is subject to availability and capacity control, and availability may be limited over bank holidays and peak periods. The number of seats available on each flight at a particular fare may be restricted and it is possible that seats allocated to a particular fare on a particular flight may be fully booked even though seats are still available for sale at a different fare or booking class in the same cabin.

12. The promotion applies only to flights on the routes specified at ba.com/blackfriday These are operated by BA except where shown to be operated by American Airlines or Iberia. The promotion does not apply to travel on any other BA franchisee or alliance airline, or any flight operated by a codeshare partners.

13. Stop-overs are not permitted. Regional connections to London for travel to the Canada, and USA, are available. For travel in Club World promotional flights are non-refundable and non-changeable. The date of departure is determined by the local date and time of the departing country.

14. Promotional travel must be booked, ticketed, started and finished in the UK.

15. Promotion does not apply group bookings (10 or more passengers in one booking).

16. Payment must be made in full at the time of booking. If booking direct with BA via telephone on 0844 493 0775 or online at www.ba.com, payment by cheque will not be accepted. Bookings made over the telephone will carry a non-refundable £10 offline booking fee per person per ticket. Calls cost up to 5p per minute from a BT landline. Calls from mobiles may vary.

17. Please note that some credit card issuers will not permit payment for air travel from the UK to be paid for on credit cards that they have issued if the billing address is outside the UK. BA does not accept responsibility for the refusal of any card issuer to allow use of its cards for payment. Prices are based on debit card payments. BA may apply a charge for other payment methods.

18. No cash or credit alternative is available. This promotion has no cash value.

19. This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion, or deal, including but not limited to: (i) redemption bookings; (ii) travel agent or industry discount fares (including but not limited to agency, industry and employee discounts), inclusive holidays, group discount fares, children/infant fares, or senior citizen fares, whether or not booked in the qualifying classes; (iii) bookings made with vouchers (eg shareholder’s discount vouchers); or (iv) upgrades.

20. All travel on BA flights is subject to BA’s General Conditions of Carriage for Passengers and Baggage (see ba.com) and the notice and conditions of contract contained on each ticket and itinerary. Travel on services operated by Iberia and Japan Airlines are subject to the conditions of carriage of the relevant carrier.

21. Promotional materials form part of these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions shall prevail if there is any conflict between these and the promotional materials.

22. BA reserves the right to cancel or amend without notice the terms of this promotion and any tickets or vouchers issued free or at promotional prices in the event of major catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, strike, earthquake or any actual anticipated or alleged breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of BA.

British AirwaysBritish Airways has now loaded sale fares for 2018 & 2019 travel to destinations worldwide in their Club World Business and First Class cabins. Once again, Continental Club is ahead of public promotion, and therefore readers have the best chance to grab any limited availability. Travel dates vary by destination as usual, reflecting seasonal demand variations. Fares must be booked by 23:59 BST on 25th September 2018. An official ‘Sale’ page has been published to the airline’s website at ba.com, so the BA Low Fare Finder at ba.com is the best way to check the new fares and availability.

Overall, Business Class and First Class fares are 1% higher on a simple average basis, compared to the last sale at Christmas.

In South America, Buenos Airies is back at or below £2000 in Club World, as is Rio de Janeiro, Santiago and Sao Paulo. Although Club fares to Mexico City have gone up, First Class fares are 10% lower than last time, and Sao Paulo drops from £3825 to £2960 in First.

In North America, Boston, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia and Washington are all at or below £2000 return in First Class.

Fares to other regions are arguably less notable, although First Class to Singapore from £2781 is rather better than we have seen lately.

British Airways Economy & Premium Economy Sale Fares Loaded 30th August 2018

British AirwaysIt has been a long time coming, but British Airways has now loaded sale fares in its World Traveller (Economy) and World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy) cabins for travel to destinations worldwide on selected dates into 2019. Periods of availability vary by destination, reflecting seasonal demand variations. Fares must be booked by 23:59 BST on 25th September 2018. An official ‘Sale’ page has now been published to the airline’s website at ba.com but, as always, the BA Low Fare Finder is the best way to check the new fares and availability.

Overall, Economy fares are 6% lower and Premium Economy fares are 6% higher than in the last full sale. Sydney returns to top-billing with fares from £628 in Economy, for example. Singapore is available from £399, compared to £499 last time. Cape Town does well in both Economy – from £512, and Premium Economy – from £1187.

In North America, New York is £50 lower in Economy than in the last sale, with fares starting from £317, and Fort Lauderdale from £644 in Premium Economy is notable.

All sale fares qualify for Avios and Tier Point credit in the British Airways Executive Club frequent flyer programme, as well as OnBusiness points for small and medium sized enterprises enrolled in that programme.

BA Business Class Holidays Luxury Flash Sale Save Up To £1125

British AirwaysBritish Airways has launched a weekend promotion with flash savings on Club World and Club Europe business class fares – when booked in conjunction with hotel accommodation or car rental. The so-called ‘Inclusive Tour’ or IT fares are non-refundable and non-changeable, but offer advertised savings of up to £1125 per person.

The fares are bookable now at ba.com, and are featured on the airline’s ‘Offers‘ page, with sample offers of 3 nights at New York’s 4 Star Moxy by Marriott Hotel from £1449 per person, including return Club World flights from London Gatwick.

Other advertised flight & hotel offers include:

Club World flights and 7 Nights at 4* DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Seaworld from £1,999 per person.

Club World flights and 3 Nights at 5* Hyatt Regency Dubai from £1,389 per person.

All prices are based on two passengers travelling together.

Flights booked in this offer qualify for Avios and Tier Points in the British Airways Executive Club, and members of the club at the Bronze level and above benefit from all amenities associated with their level of status in the programme, including (as relevant) fast track security and boarding, lounge access and seat selection. In addition, bonus Avios are awarded to Executive Club members for BA Holidays booking, as shown in the screenshot above.

Note that IT fares do not earn points in the BA OnBusiness SME Loyalty programme, however.

As we always try to be, Continental Club is ahead of public promotion, and therefore readers have the best chance to grab any limited availability. Travel dates vary by destination as usual, reflecting seasonal demand variations and this sale will last just four days. Fares must be booked by 23:59 GMT on 16th April 2018. An official ‘Sale’ page has not yet been published to the airline’s website at ba.com, so the BA Low Fare Finder at ba.com is the best way to check the new fares and availability.

Business Class fares in this short, four day, sale are between £200 and £400 return lower than they were in the last full sale in December 2017. Fares are also available as part of British Airways Holidays packages, and standout deals include Las Vegas with 7 nights’ 4* accommodation and Club World flights from £1699 per person.

Overall, Economy fares are 8% lower and Premium Economy fares are 6% lower than in the last full sale. Sydney moves back £697 return from £733 in Economy, for example. Los Angeles sheds £172 from its last Premium Economy sale fare, while Vancouver loses an additional £47 compared to last time around. Mauritius remains favoured, with its notable sub £1000 Premium Economy fare still available time. The Economy fare on that route drops from £678 to £606, but Muscat is the standout from £299 return in Economy and £509 in Premium Economy – both fares being £30 lower than in the last sale.

Looking West, Boston from £300 in particular, and New York from £368, are as low as we’ve seen for some time.
