British Airways Business & First Class Sale Fares Loaded 9th March 2017

by Continental Club on March 9, 2017  |  One comment • Tagged as: , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

British AirwaysBritish Airways has loaded its Luxury World Sale for 2017 travel to destinations worldwide in their Club World Business and First Class cabins. Periods of availability vary by destination as usual, reflecting seasonal demand variations. Fares must be booked by 23:59 GMT on 21st March 2017. An official ‘Sale’ page is published to the airline’s website at ba.com, however the BA Low Fare Finder at ba.com is the best way to check the new fares and availability.

Overall, Club World fares are 3% lower on a simple average basis than those offered in the last sale, and First Class fares are 1% lower. As usual, some of this can be attributed to seasonal variations, with different travel periods featuring in consecutive sales.

Generally-speaking many destinations are cheaper than last time around, but the notably low-fare destinations of, say, Abu Dhabi and Muscat in the December sale, are more expensive this time.

Doha, by contrast, appears untouched in this sale, perhaps by virtue of all BA flights between London and the Qatari capital now being operated in a codeshare joint veture with Qatar Airways, who may have to approve any fare change.

The additional offer of a further £200 discount when two Club World tickets are booked together is also offered once again to destinations in North & Central America. These Companion Club World Business Class Fares must be purchased together and on the exact same itinerary with no deviations permitted.

The destinations included from London Heathrow are Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver, Dallas Fort Worth, New York (Newark), New York (JFK), Washington, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, Seattle, San Francisco, San Jose (California), Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto.

Club World Business Class and First Class Sale fares earn full Tier Point and Avios credit in the British Airways Executive Club, and points in the OnBusiness SME Loyalty programme for eligible members.

British AirwaysBritish Airways has loaded its Unforgettable Sale for 2017 travel to destinations worldwide in their Club World Business and First Class cabins. BA CW LEISURE

It’s difficult to pick fare highlights out in this particular sale; in part this is due to the last sale in November being a slightly unusual one with only certain destinations covered, but with significant discounts offered. This sale, then, is more comprehensive, but some fares are on-par, some are higher and a few are lower.

Taken in isolation, as opposed to in comparison with other sales, the standout destinations this time are therefore probably Abu Dhabi and Muscat, both of which are on sale from £1195 in Club World, and £1595 in First Class.

An additional offer of a further £200 discount when two Club World tickets are booked together is also offered to destinations in North & Central America.

Club World fares are on average 2% higher than the last sale in August 2016 and First Class fares are just under 2.5% lower than last time. Club World fares are on average 10% higher than the last sale in June 2016 and First Class fares are just over 11% higher than last time, although in both cases this may be the result of not quite all fares being loaded yet. There are arguably fewer ‘stand-out’ fares in this sale than in previous ones, but Business Class to the Middle East look to be the best value propositions this time around.

British AirwaysBritish Airways has loaded its Spring Luxury World Sale for 2016 travel to destinations worldwide in their Club World Business and First Class cabins. Periods of availability vary by destination as usual, reflecting seasonal demand variations. Fares must be booked by 23:59 GMT on 22nd March 2016. An official ‘Sale‘ page is published to the airline’s website, although the BA Low Fare Finder at ba.com is the best way to check the new fares and availability.

Travel periods generally mirror peak leisure travel ‘holiday’ periods, although North American destinations are generally priced rather higher than in the last sale. Caribbean, Latin American and Middle Eastern fares are largely on a par with December 2015 sale prices, with the Far East & Australia mostly lower than the Winter promotion. The stand-out fare in this sale appears to be First Class to Delhi for Christmas 2016, which has availability at £1961 return – which we calculate to be a 40% saving on the previous price.

British Airways Club World Fares Easter 2016

by Continental Club on February 19, 2016  |  3 comments • Tagged as: , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

British AirwaysOur ear-to-the-air suggests that British Airways is loading some promotional Club World Business Class and First Class fares for last-minute travel this Easter 2016. It appears that almost all destinations are included in the promotion, for travel between 18th March and 8th April 2016 – at least for those routes whose fare rules that we’ve been able to check so far. The booking deadline is 28th February 2016.

Continental Club Air Fare Alert BA

Once again, our readers have the very best chance to access availability before headline advertising begins, and until an official ‘Sale’ page is published to the airline’s website, the BA Low Fare Finder at ba.com is the best way to check the new fares and availability.

If there’s a pattern to the presence of fares which are definitely ‘promotional’, it seems to be mostly on routes with multiple daily flights. Those with a single daily flight seem to be (currently) unaffected by this deal. Some destinations such as Miami and Los Angeles appear to be excluded too, at least for now.
